We recently asked several bloggers to do without their mobile device for 2 days to simulate what it’s like to experience device theft. In the LoJack #DigitallyDark challenge, Kris of LittleTechGirl gave up her Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which is a vital piece of technology for her.
In Kris’ post, she shares how her workflow had to change for many things, forcing her to work longer hours at her desk or squint at a smaller screen. Though she wasn’t without options, gadget-wise, both work and leisure time were affected by the forced loss of her tablet.
“I’m lucky in that I have other options available to me when it comes to devices. However, just imagine someone that gets their only laptop, only tablet, or only smartphone stolen. Their world can be turned upside down by the loss of their device, data, and their lifeline to others, not to mention the monetary loss.”
